The report highlights Yamini's journey with the Mirani Foundation, a humanitarian organization dedicated to serving society. Over the past year, the foundation has undertaken several projects, including paying tuition fees for underprivileged girls and supporting a family affected by COVID-19.
Yamini reflects on the joy of giving and how it has transformed her life, realizing that true happiness comes from sharing moments with loved ones, helping others, and making a positive impact. The report showcases the foundation's efforts to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
If I am writing this report it means I have completed one year living with utmost satisfaction and happiness. To me, this is not a reporting formality but feelings being jotted down in the form of words.
I am proud of myself and the Mirani Foundation family for serving society with all their heart. There was a life I was living before joining Mirani Foundation; an old me.
Simple girl with common wants and needs, not-so-high expectations from myself, and small goals. I was happy back then but today I am the happiest.
It is not because I have gained something unique but I have learned and earned something. A feeling, a state of mind, a practice, the secret to happiness called GIVING.
Yes, it is in GIVING NOT GETTING. The more you give, the happier you will be.
Before joining MF, I used to think I needed money to be happy and to fulfil my dreams but turns out that money is required only for making a living. Purchasing a few things we need does not make us happy but useful.
With money, you will be capable of purchasing tools and things that get your work done. Want to be somewhere?
Purchase a car. Want to gain energy for work?
Have some food. Want to cover your body?
Buy clothes. These are tools, not happiness.
Wearing $2500 shoes won't make you happier but giving bread worth $10 to some needy definitely will. What makes our soul happy is not by using stuff but by sharing the moments with loved ones, eating together, helping someone get what they want, being in nature, listening to songs, and dancing with people.
Precious things in life are for free. Useless things require a lot of money.
If you have money and all things you need, good use of it will be sharing and spending it with someone that is in need. A trip to Bali may give you temporary peace but feeding needy kids with those monies will make you happy forever.
Of course, I am not opposing pleasures over donation but prioritizing and best utilization of money is what a wise man is expected to do. This document which by now has turned my emotion bulletin board will give you a glimpse of all the projects I have done in the last year and most of them have taken place in my hometown.
